August 14th is National Creamsicle Day! I don't know who invented the creamsicle, but my friend, you are pure genius!
First made by the brand Popsicle, this delicious and refreshing treat is just what you need to cool a hot August day.
Homemade creamsicles are way better than chasing the ice cream truck down the road!
Needed:
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cups milk
1 can frozen orange juice
Plastic ice pop molds
1 dozen craft sticks
Directions:
Using an electric hand mixer, combine icecream, milk and frozen orange juice and mix smooth and creamy.
Pour the mixture into ice pop molds.
Freeze pops for 30 minutes to one hour, then carefully insert a wooden stick into the middle of each one.
Put the creamsicles back into the freezer for several hours or overnight.
